Assistant Teacher

St. John Early Learning Center in Battle Creek, NE is looking for several assistant teachers to join our team. We are located on 301 S 2nd St. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged.


Responsibilities

  • Support assigned classrooms, may vary dependent on need.
  • Assist children with participating in games, reading with children and teaching them simple, fun and enriching activities.
  • Assist lead teacher with day-to-day activities.
  • Assist in preparing and serving food, and cleaning areas to ensure clean, sanitary conditions and to meet standards.
  • Spend time outdoors with children.
  • Help maintain minimal daily paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with students, their parents, and other staff.
  • Provide quality, nurturing care to children enrolled in the program.
  • Assist students with diapering and potty training when necessary.
  • Attend in-service training required by licensing and the program.


Qualifications

  • Early childhood education or prior work in a childcare or school preferred. Willing to train the right individual. Must have open availability.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $12.00 - $14.00/hour.
