Responsibilities
In keeping w i th the Dignity Health core values, supports and promotes the provision of quality patient care. Actively participating member is systems, functions and activities of the unit / department.
u00A0 The CNA provides care for and activities of daily living, comfort and safety.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
- Six (6) months recent hospital or long term care facility experience as CNA
- High school education
- Nurse Assistant Certification (CT NA)
- CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)
Special Skills :
- Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Ability to utilize and learn new computer programs for documentation
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Operate IVAC thermometer, vital sign check machine, blood pressure cuff.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures
- Ability to educate family members regarding appropriate activities listed below, as indicated by ability of resident and willingness of family
- Ability to perform care functions that may include, but not necessarily be limited to :
- Ambulation
- Eating assistance
- ADLs
- ROM (AROM & PROM)
- Bowel and Bladder Training
- Splint / Brace / Prosthesis placement / care
Pay Range
$20.22- $25.97 / hour
