Hydrologist II, IV, or Senior Engineer Scientist

Job Summary: This is independent hydrologic work contributing to the development and application of groundwater flow models to support the development of water resource management strategies, regulatory evaluation and minimum flows and levels assessment.

Hydrologist II
Hydrologist IV
Senior Engineer Scientist
Minimum Qualifications:
Hydrologist II requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in geology, hydrology, engineering or related field and one-year professional experience in geology, hydrology, or related field.
Hydrologist IV requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in geology, hydrology, hydrogeology or related field and five years of experience in hydrology or hydrogeology; or registration with the State of Florida as a professional geologist or professional engineer.
Senior Engineer Scientist requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental, civil, hydraulic, agricultural or water resource engineering, seven years of experience directly related to the field in which the position is assigned.
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental, civil, hydraulic, agricultural or
water resource engineering can substitute for one year of the required experience.
A doctorate from an accredited college or university in environmental, civil, hydraulic, agricultural or water
resource engineering can substitute for two years of the required experience.
Experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
Mostly office environment sitting at a desk and operating a personal computer to produce work products with some field visits as required.
Periodic field visits:
Applicant must have ability to endure outdoor environments in uncomfortable temperatures, inclement weather, and remote locations.
Licenses:
Requires a valid Florida driver license or obtain within six months of employment.
Travel:
Requires travel to attend off-site meetings, sometimes outside of normal business hours including overnight. Ability to drive oneself to and from meetings.

Starting Salary Range:
Hydrologist II: $50,980.00 - $63,710.40
Hydrologist IV: $64,230.40 - $83,491.20
Senior Engineer Scientist: $73,528.00 - $95,596.80
Starting salary is based on qualifications and experience.
