 Job Overview

 

Responsible for the control of ordering supplies, equipment and instruments utilized in the department. Responsible for organizing and controlling information, budgets and inventory by the identification and recommended acquisition and allocation of material resources to ensure continuing delivery of quality patient care. Maintains close working relationships with Purchasing, Surgical Service and Materials Management Departments.

Qualifications

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of an Associates Degree in related field preferred and three or more years of previous work related experience in Central Supply, Inventory Control and/or Surgical Services in a healthcare setting. Work requires the analytical ability necessary to resolve problems requiring a professional level of knowledge in a specific discipline/field. Purchasing experience and/or related business experience in addition to basic computer science knowledge is required.
