What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Student Director position at St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center?
Role:
A full-time position of leadership charged with creating a culture of encounter with Jesus Christ and His Church as well as intentional relationships at the Center. This position will assist in the effective implementation of the St. Lawrence playbook by developing and managing the success of our student recruitment with an annual goal of 2100 members. The Director takes personal responsibility for making sure any initiatives fall in line with our core values:

Qualifications:
The Director must have a strong desire and natural ability to welcome outsiders and create experiences of encounter on a secular university campus. They must have the ability to relate to different types of people and be highly detail-oriented. The New Student Director at St. Lawrence must work well on a team and is comfortable having courageous conversations that contribute to staff unity and team development. They are a strong witness of the Catholic faith and committed to discipleship in their own life. 4-year college degree in a field conducive to this position is required. Experience in work and ministry is valued.
Responsibilities:
Student Recruitment (10)
Collaborate with KU Admissions strategy and SILC
Constant outreach to new and prospective students to visit the Center, using mission formation students or an Ambassador team to host new visitors
Develop and implement ground game recruitment strategy
Marketing & Metrics (10)
Develop and implement a marketing plan to reach new students and manage communication to all students
Email marketing via Week at a Glance
Design and Management of KU Catholic Website
Social Media Plan and Content Creation (directed specifically to new students)
Optimal signage and tour/orientation materials available on site
Take personal responsibility for student registration process and for harvesting 2,000 students in the database
Oversee student registration process
Ensure effective use of planning center for critical data that measures the Center's effectiveness on mission.
Belonging Events (10)
Slow Drip
Assemble team and promote and manage weekly place of encounter with emphasis on being ready to welcome new students
Meat & Greet Opening BBQ with goal of 500 students attending
Plan master schedule for the event
Assign and delegate roles
Communicate expectations with staff and student leaders
Plan and implement a strategic marketing plan to promote the event with the aim of 500 students attending
Ash Wednesday Marketing/Giveaway/Harvest
Resource for other belonging events imagined and implemented by students
Build Relationships (10)
Mentorship and pastoral care to students

Attend staff and ministry meetings and days of recollection
Develop skills and awareness for ministry

Office: 1st Floor SLC. Remote work no more than 25% of hours.
Physical Demands: Standard Office
Compensation: Reasonable Work and Travel Expenses Reimbursed. Annual raise is considered on June 30th of each year. Full Archdiocesan Benefit Package Offered.
