The basics of this position:

Plans, tracks and coordinates all activities related to assigned process improvement projects. Defines and
communicates project objectives, status and key milestones. Organizes project activities into manageable assignments
for project team members, and determines effective approach to completion consistent with project plan. Initiates and
maintains collaborative working relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external to the College. Coaches
project team members in best practice project management techniques. Maintains critical documentation in support of
assigned projects, including project plans and objectives, risk and mitigation strategies, and project status. May be
requested to develop financial models to assess value of projects. Fosters organizational continuous improvement
through initiation of process improvement projects.

What you'll do:

  • Develops collaborative working relationships leading to the establishment of process improvement systems.
  • Provides process improvement education and mentorship as needed for project participants; develops, teaches, coaches and mentors staff in process improvement principles.
  • Prioritizes process-based, value-added objectives and outcomes for assigned projects.
  • Identifies project risk and formulates mitigation strategies for assigned projects.
  • Analyzes current state of existing College processes and develops plans to achieve improved future state that aligns with the College's strategic plan, in partnership with functional leaders.
  • Designs and establishes performance metrics for key process improvement projects through collaborative sessions with functional and administrative leadership; regularly reports project status to functional and administrative leadership in order to support their continuous improvement efforts.
  • In collaboration with functional and administrative leadership, identifies opportunities, initiates projects, and facilitates change management in order to improve efficiencies, conserve resources, and meet the College's Strategic Plan goals and objectives.
  • Facilitates continuous improvement through collaborative goal setting, priority identification, idea generation and problem solving.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Bachelor's degree with five (5) years relevant experience required.
Demonstrated proficiency with project management/scheduling and task management software.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously to reach timely, successful conclusions required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's preferred

Experience managing project managers preferred.
