Job Summary:
The Controller will be responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in overall fiscal management. Assignments will include the reporting of hospital financials, including budget, cost reports, and monthly operating reports. The Controller will also be responsible for consistent analysis of financial operations and budget variances. This teammate will also supervise accounts payable and accountant.

Essential Functions:
1. Monthly closing of general ledger and preparation of all
monthly internal reports.
2. Monthly reconciliation of bank statements.
3. Oversight of monthly/quarterly/annual payroll tax returns.
4. Assist CFO with preparation of annual budget.
5. Responsible for preparation of Medicare cost reports.
6. Assist CFO with preparation of Blue Cross reports.
7. Supporting schedules and documents for Medicare and external auditors.

Required knowledge, skills, & abilities:
1. Bachelors degree in business or accounting.
2. Two years of experience preferred.
3. Management experience and CPA preferred.
4. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, computer proficiency.
5. Ability to handle stressful situations at times in order to meet deadlines.
