What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometrist – The Villages position at St Lukes Cataract & Laser Institute?
St. Luke's is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our practice in The Villages, FL.
- The ideal candidate will build a practice that blends a support role to our high volume cataract surgeons along with a focus on providing primary and medical eye care, including yearly diabetic retinopathy screenings.
- Florida license preferred.
- Oral prescriptive authority preferred.
- Medical residency with an emphasis in ocular disease is preferred.
- Some evenings and weekends may be required.
- Essential job duties include partnering with ophthalmologists for the care coordination of surgical patients, building successful relationships with primary care physicians, and supporting the training and development of the clinical staff.
