Assist in establishing data collection processes and tools, and integrating data from multiple sources. Develop and interpret complex mathematical models and effectively present sophisticated analysis and findings. Identify and recommend appropriate cohorts for benchmark comparisons and setting targets for performance excellence and incentive programs. Collaborate with clinicians, program leaders and performance improvement analysts to design new performance dashboards. Lead production of real-time, monthly and quarterly dashboards to enable transparency and to monitor system-wide performance of program progress, clinical quality, and cost of care. Track, monitor and manage vendor rebates for health system.
Additional Job Description
· In partnership with business and clinical leadership, facilitate data-driven decisions and process improvement to improve patient outcomes and experience. This involves working with stakeholders to understand and document requirements, defining and scoping key performance indicators, collecting and managing data, performing statistical and mathematical modeling, developing new tools and systems, and sharing results.
· Design processes to answer key business questions and use analytical skills in finding and visualizing patterns and predictive relationships in data that allow clinicians to manage and perform more efficiently.
· Acquire, profile and blend data from multiple systems for exploration and analysis.
· Cleanse and transform data to prepare it for use, publish to dashboards, and perform iterative reviews with customers.
· Design and develop systems to extract meaning from large scale structured and unstructured health data.
· Integrate new data sources in collaboration with team members, other analysts, and internal and external data suppliers.
· Play a key role in the evolution of SLHSs ability to generate actionable insight from data and measures.
· Communicate synthesized data findings to business and clinical team members, senior leaders, and other stakeholders.
· Research and recommend new innovative methods and systems to manage data.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required (3-5 years of experience could be accepted in lieu of a degree
· One year minimum of related experience with analytically challenging projects, preferably in healthcare.
· -Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following: quantitative analysis, financial analysis, information systems, population health analytics, clinical informatics, or clinical quality analytics.
· -Working knowledge of SQL, SQL programming, and relational database concepts.
· -Experience with analytic and visualization platforms such as Spotfire, Tableau, Microsoft BI preferred.
