The Opportunity:

Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO is currently seeking a Retail Pharmacist. The Retail Pharmacist I is responsible for daily operational legal and clinical activities involved within the Retail Pharmacy department. The Pharmacist is responsible for oversight of all medication distribution activities, supervision of personnel involved in assisting the Pharmacist in pharmacy related activities, counseling of patients on the use of prescription and or over-the-counter medications, accurately billing and collection of payment for services provided or sold, maintenance of privacy and confidentiality of medical and personal information, consultation with the customers physician or healthcare provider about patients and or pharmacist medication therapy concerns.

Responsibilities:

- Work within the retail/outpatient pharmacy department of the hospital.

- Licensed or able to be licensed as a Pharmacist within the state of Missouri AND must be eligible and must complete requirements to be established as the Pharmacist In Charge with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy for the pharmacy location.

- The individual will be responsible for completing and supervising daily operational, clinical and legal activities including but not limited to: oversight of all medication distribution activities, supervision of personnel involved in assisting the Pharmacist in pharmacy related activities, counseling of patients on the use of prescription and or over-the-counter medications, ensuring accurately billing and collection of payment for services provided or sold, maintenance of privacy and confidentiality of medical and personal information, consultation with the customers, physician or healthcare provider on behalf of a patient's and or pharmacist's medication therapy concerns, providing and maintaining financial and legal reports as requested.
