St. Mary of the Assumption School located in the heart of Brookline Villiage (67 Harvard Street) is seeking an individual to teach Drama part-time to grades PreK-8 starting in the Fall, .As a part-time drama teacher ist St. Mary's, your responsibilities may include: Curriculum Development: Collaborating with school administration and other educators to develop age-appropriate drama curriculum that aligns with educational standards and fosters creativity, confidence, and communication skills in young learners. Lesson Planning: Creating engaging and interactive lesson plans that introduce fundamental concepts of drama, such as storytelling role-playing, pantomime, and creative movement, tailored to the developmental stages and interests of elementary school students. Instruction: Delivering dynamic drama instruction through a variety of activities, games, exercises, and storytelling techniques that capture the imagination of young learners and promote active participation and expression. Communication: Maintaining open and effective communication with students, parents, and school staff regarding curriculum, student progress, upcoming events, and any other relevant information through newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, and other means of communication. Overall, as a part-time drama teacher at St. Mary's School, you would foster a love for the arts, ignite students' imaginations, and empower them to express themselves creatively while also supporting their holistic development as confident, empathetic, and lifelong learners.
