What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at St. Matthews Church?
PT Administrative Assistant for busy parish. Approximately 15 hours a week.
Must be welcoming, helpful, and courteous to parishioners, visitors, and guests.
Organization, attention to detail, discretion, the ability to prioritize tasks and follow through are necessary skills in this position.
- Keep Rector's calendar, including scheduling appointments.
- Flag Rector's emails/correspondence for follow up and review.
- Create and maintain lists for follow up and pastoral care visits.
- Coordinate with clergy and families for Baptism and weddings.
- Assist Parish Administrator with mailings and thank you letters as needed.
- Assist Music Director with administrative tasks when needed.
- Assist clergy with ordering supplies.
- Answer phones and direct calls.
- Any other tasks as assigned by Rector or Parish Administrator.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
