St. Paul’s Lutheran Child Care is looking to hire a full-time director.
This would be an ideal position for someone who is currently an assistant director at a center and is looking to move on to be a center director. We're looking to hire someone professional, dependable, fun-loving, energetic, team-oriented, & self-motivated.
Director qualifications and responsibilities.
A director is responsible for the general management of the facility, including the following minimum duties:
(1) Administering finances, personnel, maintenance, meal planning and preparation and transportation.
(2) Administering the facility’s program objectives and activities.
(3) Designating a staff person who is responsible for compliance with the state in the Director’s absence.
(4) Coordinating and planning daily activities.
(5) Overall program planning.
(6) Written evaluation of staff persons on a regular basis, a minimum of one evaluation every 12 months.
A director shall have attained one of the following qualification levels:
1) A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field & one year of experience working with children.
2) A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field & 2 years of experience working with children.
3) An associates degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field & 3 years of experience working with children.
4) An associates degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field & 4 years of experience working with children.
~ Must share and support Christian values, be dependable, accountable, flexible, compassionate, fun-loving, & a go-get-er.
~ Must be knowledgeable in state regulations, lesson plans, overall daily operations, menu planning, staffing, billing & record keeping. Must have reliable transportation.
~ Must pass background check.
