TITLE: Worker’s Compensation Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Worker’s Compensation Coordinator is the subject matter expert for THNY workers’ compensation program. The WC Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and administration of the THNY self-insured group trusts. The WC Coordinator is also responsible for the in-house management of work-related injuries and an active participant in the claims administration process.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS, OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Strong written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal, motivational and conflict resolution skills. Broad-based knowledge of OSHA, NYS Worker’s Compensation law and other hospital related regulatory compliance requirements. Strong accounting or bookkeeping skills, able to produce metric analysis and reports, presentation skills, team player, negotiation/ crucial conversations skills and ability to influence change without direct authority.

Responsibilities:
Pay Range: $24.60 hr - $35.70 hr
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
