English Language Arts Teacher - Middle School

St. Thomas Aquinas is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Language Arts (ELA) teacher to join our vibrant school community. In this role, you will play a vital role in fostering students' intellectual and spiritual growth by providing a stimulating and engaging learning environment focused on the beauty and power of language.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver a rigorous and engaging ELA curriculum, incorporating Catholic values and themes.
• Foster a love of reading, writing, speaking, and listening through diverse learning experiences that cater to a variety of learning styles.
• Develop and implement effective assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in curriculum development and instruction.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and learning goals.
• Actively participate in the school community, including professional development opportunities, school events, and service activities.
• Uphold the Catholic faith by integrating its teachings into the classroom environment and serving as a role model for students.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts or a related field from an accredited university.
• Possession of a valid state teaching credential or demonstration of being in the process of obtaining one.
• A minimum of two years of successful teaching experience at the desired grade level (indicate the specific grade level you are looking for).
• Strong knowledge of current curriculum standards and best practices in ELA instruction.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• A deep commitment to the Catholic faith and a desire to integrate its values into the classroom.
• Passion for fostering a love of learning and a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
