Summary
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing intermediate-level maintenance tasks and repairs across the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for residents, staff, and visitors. A key component of this role is managing work orders or service requests, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all maintenance tasks. This position also assists in tracking and organizing requests using a service request system, contributing to the overall efficient operation of the facility. The role supports the organization's mission to create a safe and dignified space for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Essential Functions
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Diagnose issues, including but not limited to: kitchen appliances, laundry machines, and heating/cooling systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and building codes.
- Quickly address urgent maintenance requests and safety hazards.
- Complete work orders and update management on ongoing issues.
- Monitor maintenance supplies and tools.
- Assist staff with facility-related issues and address resident concerns professionally.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to maintenance processes.
- On time completion of assigned training and policies
- Preforms other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 year experience and two skilled trades
- Be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience; possesses a valid California driver’s license; and has no Class 1 or more than two Class 2 violations within the last 36 months
