Deployment Hardware Technician

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform deployment, installation, training, and support of new Windows based computer systems.
• Assist with the design of, installation and support of computer systems and peripherals.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Manager for inventory, hardware orders, equipment movement, and shipping needs.
• Travel to install sites and perform deployment activities to include, site surveys, install hardware, install software, remove hardware, check hardware for shipment etc. 
• Conduct site surveys; assess and document current site network configuration and user requirements.
• Design and optimize network topologies.
• Analyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions.
• Prepare engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages.
• Develop hardware installation schedules.
• Prepare drawings documenting configuration changes at each site.
• Prepare site installation and test reports.
• Configure computers, communications devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Train site personnel in proper use of hardware.
• Build specialized interconnecting cables.

Job Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.
• Experience in Customer Service

Other Requirements:

• Must have active interim Secret clearance or above
• Must be able to travel at least 25%

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to type
