Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Journeyman Software Developer, Applications to join our team at Wright Patterson AFB. Responsibilities may include: Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. May supervise computer programmers. REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate has experience and passion for conceptualizing, designing, developing and/or delivering efficient tools and applications in support of operations or other structured business processes. General coding or scripting experience (5 years desired) Database planning, creation & modification including SQL experience (5 years desired) Web application coding experience; both client-side: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and server side: ColdFusion or similar (5 years desired) MS Office Applications used for planning and communication within a team and among work partners. Visual Basic/VBA or Mobile application development experience a plus Technical/engineering training or experience, especially in a test laboratory or prototype engineering environment is a plus. EDUCATION: B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or equivalent. Software Engineering or Application Development emphasis is preferred but not required. Five years of related progressive experience OR additional certifications OR an MS degree Certifications: IAT II Security Clearance: Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information Physical Requirements: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
