What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at StaffBright?
Currently, StaffBright has a great Assistant Controller opportunity in the Metro Detroit area. We are seeking individuals with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assist in the preparation of and ensure the accuracy of financial and operational analyses for the assembly plant
- Represent the Plant Controller in planning meetings and monthly reviews when needed
- Provide assistance to the Plant Controller to complete the annual budget and business plan according to Corporate procedures.
- Assist with the completion of month-end close process and plant performance variance analyses
- Assist the Plant Controller with the review and approval of capital expenditures for project spending
- Responsible for monitoring the Assets Under Construction and assisting with the annual Physical Inventory Count
- Assist with Financial and Internal Audits
- Perform analysis on project spending
What We Need From You
To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Strong analytical skills and initiative to drive change and make recommendations for cost improvements
All-Star Skillset
The ideal candidate will also have any or all of the following preferred experience and skills:
- Prefer SAP
- Prefer Automotive knowledge
