JOB DESCRIPTION:

OVERVIEW:

· Job location is Fulltime/Perm at Rhode Island

· The company is responsible for managing all of client’s facilities and will therefore be the formal employer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Combine your proven leadership and Facilities Management technical expertise to enhance existing and new client programs including short- and long-range planning, construction and renovation projects, preventative and corrective maintenance, energy management, grounds and landscaping and janitorial.

· The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for directing facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single unit.

· The Director of Facilities Operations manages the preventative maintenance and reactive repair of skilled trades e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, utilities and manages the hiring, training and supervision of staff, professionals and management.

· The Director of Facilities Operations manages a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business.

· The Director may oversee construction work and often manages other core services and/or logistics of business/operations services e.g., groundskeeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, concierge services (NOT campus dining - that is someone else).

MUST HAVE:

· 5 years of experience as a Director of Facilities in a University or Campus Setting

· Union environment experience.

· Able to manage all skilled mechanical trades highlighted above, from maintenance to grounds to hiring and training.

NICE TO HAVE:

· Strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape and energy management.

· Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
