Job Description: As a Accountant specializing in the cannabis industry, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing our financial activities. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and contributing to the financial success of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a deep understanding of cannabis industry dynamics, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management: Handle day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations specific to the cannabis industry, including tax regulations and reporting requirements.
3. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against financial targets.
5. Audit Support: Assist in the preparation for financial audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to audit standards.
6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance financial efficiency.
7. Cannabis Industry Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and accounting standards affecting the cannabis sector.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. CPA designation preferred.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in the cannabis industry (preferred).
4. Thorough understanding of cannabis industry regulations and compliance requirements.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Familiarity with WeedMap, MetricDuchy, CanvaDuchy- POS, Microsoft products,
