Client Services Billing Clerk Jackson, MS - Our Firm is seeking a sharp individual to join our Client Services department as a legal billing clerk.
We are searching for a candidate with the ability to process high volumes of invoices, to include multi-client, multi-matter and multi-payors, in addition to some other administrative and clerical functions.
This position will prepare, review and distribute pre-bills to attorneys and prepare final bills as per clients’ specifications.
It is important for the candidate to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they need to keep in constant contact with clients, attorneys and other personnel within the Firm.
It is important to have excellent organizational skills and possess the ability to meet deadlines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Review pre-bills in accordance with attorneys’ requests and ensure that all information in them is correct within compliance to each client / insurance carriers’ billing guidelines;
- Prepare spreadsheets for attorney and client review;
- Take orders from attorneys to apply retainer funds and process write-offs following firm policies;
- Execute complex bills in a timely manner by ensuring that all bills are properly prepared, and that all multi-payors are managed according to protocol;
- Adhere to internal department deadlines and requirements to ensure that all bills are prepared and sent to client according to the schedule;
- Submit client invoices; mailing paper copy, emailing pdf copy, faxing or electronically submitting LEDES98B files to client / insurance carriers e-billing systems;
- Maintain client billing files on shared network to include monthly submissions and required reports;
- Work with A / R team to provide invoice or client contact information as requested.
