Job Summary:
This part-time position will be responsible for the execution of a strong customer service plan by effectively responding to inbound and outbound calls to/from Market guests. High Point Market Authority prides itself on the delivery of its strong value proposition of exceptional, world class customer service. In this role you will have the opportunity to enhance this value in every interaction and at every touchpoint with Market guests. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Position requires a combination of part-time (approximately 5 weeks) and full-time (approximately 5 weeks) hours each registration cycle leading up to Markets in April & October. Some flexible hours throughout the rest of the year may also be required as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Effectively manage large amounts of calls, inbound and outbound, while delivering an exceptional customer service program based on marketing goals and activities.
2. Identify and assess Market guests’ needs to achieve satisfaction. This includes assisting callers with registration and other details related to their Market visit while communicating a compelling case for attending the High Point Market
3. Provide technical assistance to Market guests and to internal staff as it relates to website functionality
4. Answers inquiries by clarifying desired information by researching, locating, and providing information
5. Handle guest problems and issues, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives, escalating unresolved issues, and following up as necessary to ensure resolution
6. Follow communications procedures, guidelines, and policies
7. Take the extra mile to engage Market guests
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Proven customer support experience
2. Excellent verbal communication and telephone skills
3. Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening skills in a friendly and pleasant manner
4. Data entry skills, typing, and word processing skills (basic Microsoft Office applications skills)
5. Attention to detail
6. Strong customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of customers
7. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
8. Problem solving skills, taking the extra mile to engage guests
