Job description
Alter, mend, modify, and construct garments and other articles according to customers specifications and needs. This can include mending, hemming, lengthening, and taking in and letting out seams.
Some other seamstress duties and responsibilities can include:
- Accurately measure clients
- Maintain sewing equipment
- Labeling customers’ garments
- Recording the necessary alterations
- Using irons and pressing machines
