What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Setter position at Staffing Network?
Staffing Network is currently hiring die Setters for our client located in Sterling Heights and Clinton Township.
Position Summary - Die Setter
· Performing mold/die changes as scheduled in 500-3300 ton presses
· Must operate overhead crane to transport molds
· Knowledge of injection molding hydraulics and pneumatics
· Responsible for making sure machines are locked out prior to the mold change
· Perform minor tool and equipment repairs
· Communicate effectively with other Die Setters to ensure safety of all
· Responsible to follow all required Safety Procedures
· Performing mold maintenance and checks
· Meet performance goals for timely mold changes and setup
· Performing or assisting molding process start-up
· Responsible for the workplace organization
· Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted ensuring mold setting processes are followed
· Participate in World Class Manufacturing Kaizen Projects
Requirements - Die Setter
· Must have a High School Diploma or GED
· 1-2 years of mold setting experience in Plastic Injection Molding
· Must have reliable transportation and an acceptable attendance record
· Possess good mechanical aptitude
· Ability to communicate effectively and work independently
· Must be a dedicated team player and willing to learn new processes
· Ability to operate powered lift equipment (forklift, hoists, cranes, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Overtime
Experience:
- Die setting: 2 years (Preferred)
- Plastics injection molding: 3 years (Preferred)
