SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Strategic Sourcing Manager this position is directly involved with the upstream and downstream value-added flow and costs of materials/commodities. Will drive high-quality products, improve OTD, control inventory levels, and cost. Establishes and maintains key Metrics and performance measurements, and is involved with project management of key products, programs, and/or suppliers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Core Responsibilities:
- Supports the development and implementation of commodity strategies ensuring conformance to company policies, processes, and direction.
- Manages source change & sourcing activity from idea generation to fulfillment upon approval. company
- Improve processes and resolve issues that arise in an effective and timely manner
- Carries out supplier research, evaluation & selection to continually strengthen our supply base.
- Develops and negotiates contracts as required and manages enforcement of contractual obligations with suppliers within allocated commodities.
- Achieve KPI targets to improve procurement and sourcing departments.
- Ability to analyze supplier capacity and manage supply base within assigned commodities, supports the development of strategic relationships & leads/participates in supplier account reviews.
- Works well collaborating using video conferencing tools to communicate with suppliers and remote teams to deliver business objectives.
- Review KPI data related to purchasing effectiveness and take a role in driving corrective actions where necessary. Proactively working with major suppliers.
- Contribute to sourcing high-quality products as set forth by the Supply Chain management.
- Contribute to standard cost setting for internal financial analysis.
- Manage supplier relationships, and build a stronger understanding of processes, forecasts, and supplier capabilities.
- Other duties as assigned outside of the scope of Sourcing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS Degree
- Demonstrated capability/experience in a strategic procurement role
- 3 – 6 years of business experience. Familiarity with working in a high-volume, highly dynamic rapid-paced environment.
- Multilingual English and Spanish
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in a professional manner to all levels of management
- Ability to implement a commodity strategy, covering all aspects such as cost/quality/delivery, etc.
- Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations
- Experience with first-article purchase orders and work transfer processes
A moderate to complex level of knowledge in:
- Spreadsheets - Excel - writing macros, developing formulas, using functions such as pivot and lookup tables
- Database - MS Access - multi-table queries, report generation, macros, forms

- Word Processing - MS Word
- Strong prioritization skills
- Ability to work with intermediate to senior-level internal associates.
- A moderate to complex level of financial analysis knowledge.
