We are looking for experienced CNC Machinists with G code programming experience. The primary function of this role is to set up and run jobs including 5 axis.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Set up, program and run CNC Machines, including verticals, shuttles, bars and 5 axis.
- Understand and select correct tooling
- Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications
- Ensure the CNC machines are operating at the highest level of productivity appropriate to the assigned project
- Review set up sheets and specifications to determine set up procedure, machining sequence and dimensions
- Assemble cutting tools in tool holders and position in machine spindles as specified using hand tools or insert cutting tools
- Measure work piece for conformance to specification using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicator and gages
- Adjust machine speeds and feeds; change cutters to machine parts according to specifications
- Keep work area organized and clean
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong math skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- 2 years' experience in CNC Programming
- Attention detail
- Ability troubleshoot and problem solve
- Ability to climb, crawl and maneuver in cramped areas
- Extensive walking is required
- Ability to comfortably work from heights on ladders and aerial boom lifts
- Ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds
