PRE-PRESS SPECIALIST/LEAD
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON-SITE, 5 DAYS A WEEK- NO EXCEPTIONS - 8am-5pm!
Our client located in the St. Louis suburbs, has been experiencing rapid growth and is looking for lead Pre-press specialist to join their team. This role will be creating the die line label proofs, managing the die library, creating the plate schematic, uploading the proofs to their website, etc. This is NOT a creative design role but more of a production role that has to understand design as it relates to positioning on a label. You will be provided training on processes and the various printing techniques used.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with label manufacturing/operations team to:
- Design labels for manufacturing that can achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
- Release materials to manufacturing.
- Prepare all graphics for the purpose of a) creating a proof for customer approval, b) creating a graphic that can be used for plating, c) a graphic that can be used for internal record-keeping/marketing and d) a graphic that can be used for the website.
- Coordinate the plate ordering process to ensure product quality meets client's needs in terms of quality and turnaround time.
- Coordinate the proof approval process by keeping an active record of status to support and achieve proof approvals.
- Establish and maintain a standard "look and feel" for all manufactured products. Support the company branded image by ensuring corporate graphics also adhere to standards.
- Effectively communicate to PrePress Manager current workload including, but not limited to, cc PrePress Manager on all email communications.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years working in a Pre-press and/or in a production artist position
- Packaging or label experience is a PLUS!
- Flexographic and/or offset printing experience is a plus!
- Ability to follow processes and procedures and utilize training method
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment

Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
