This temp position offers 1st shift hours for this Accounting Clerk, Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and pay $19.95 per hour. Take your weekends for yourself and create a balance between professional and personal life. We are looking for someone ready to take ownership of daily assigned tasks while paying attention to detail and prioritizing important tasks.
Accounting Clerk Job Responsibilities:
* Double-entry bookkeeping, posting actions to journals, identifying subsidiary accounts affected, making debit and credit entries, and assigning proper codes.
* Edit, check, and verify data, prepare source documents for data entry, verify miscellaneous statements and reports, accumulate and tabulate control statistics.
* Interface with vendors, maintain various master files, reconcile specific accounts, answer phones, and take and relay messages.
* Operate computer and peripheral equipment, organize, file and maintain records, and assist in other accounting areas such as accounts payable, payroll, job cost, contract billings, or data processing.
