Position Summary
Operate equipment and machinery in the Furnace area, and ensure products are heat treated to meet customer specifications. Review product quality to ensure conformity to company and customer specifications.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, comprehend and follow traveler instructions, procedures, drawings and/or verbal instructions.
- Operate and set-up all equipment and machinery in the Furnace area in a manner which meets quality and productivity standards.
- Recognize variations from proper equipment/machine performance and seek corrective assistance when other than normal adjustments are required.
- Assist supervision in developing new methods and techniques to improve processes and quality of products.
- Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment, including preventive maintenance and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work area.
- Perform statistical process control.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
