Advantage Resourcing has a new exciting direct-hire opportunity and is looking to fill a Quality Assurance Manager position in Paterson, NJ, where you will be working for a local food manufacturing company.
Schedule: 1st Shift
Pay: $90K (Depending on experience.)

Quality Assurance Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts for effective implementation of the Quality Program and Production Performance Improvement.
- Monitor and communicate with Operations regarding quality improvement trends, assisting in the development of improvement plans.
- Lead Monthly Quality and Food Safety Team Meetings.
- Collaborate with R&D to establish raw material and finished goods standards/specifications, negotiate with suppliers, and devise testing methods.
- Coordinate, plan, and manage quality assurance activities in the lab, ensuring testing standards are met.
- Oversee the development, preparation, and maintenance of quality assurance manuals and modified methods for analytical equipment.
- Maintain relationships, submit samples, and collaborate with third-party accredited laboratories.
- Ensure all laboratory staff are trained in critical requirements of quality control.
- Monitor quality assurance data, initiate corrective actions as required, and perform investigations of quality concerns.
- Facilitate and manage finished goods' positive release and process control systems.
- Achieve quality assurance KPIs by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews.
- Meet quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Accomplish quality assurance human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining QA and QC technicians and scientists.
Qualifications: Must have at minimum a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 10 years' field experience, a minimum of 3 years managing others in Quality related position, ability to work independently in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment, and organizational, Analytical, and Communication skills required.
