Hours : 4 : 30 pm-3 : 00 am, Monday-Friday

Pay : $18.00 - $26.00 per hour

The Welder will be responsible for welding, layout, positioning, aligning, and fitting parts for steel fabrication.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.
• Weld steel members.
• Move steel members into positions manually or with hoists or cranes.
• Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.

Qualifications for the Welder position require knowledge of shop machines, hand tools, and maintenance, basic arithmetic and geometry skills, familiarity with construction materials and methods, and strong attention to detail and communication.

Candidates must be able to operate small forklifts and lift materials over 50 pounds, proficiently use FCAW welding and oxy / acetylene and plasma cutting equipment, pass a Welding Certification Test, read shop drawings, and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years welding experience, preferably in a job shop setting.
