Service Department Customer Service / Dispatch

Established, locally-owned Heating Oil & Propane Company seeks a full-time, year-round Customer Service/Dispatch Representative for our Service Dept.

Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Answer telephone and assist customers
• Schedule service work
• Dispatch technicians
• Posting proposals for installations
• Posting service billing invoices
• Process credit cards and credits
• Research and resolve discrepancies
• Make account adjustments as needed
• Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, and other in a courteous and professional manner
• Perform any other duties as directed by Stafford management
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices

Skill requirements:

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Customer service experience
• Ability to prioritize and re-organize daily work, flexibility
• Demonstrate professionalism while interacting with customers
• Typing and working knowledge of office equipment
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team

Additional preferred skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
