Position Overview:
As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our clients and their employees. Your proficiency will be essential in effectively managing payroll data and transactions. You will collaborate closely with our finance and HR teams to guarantee smooth payroll operations and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and on time using the company platform
- Maintain employee records related to payroll, benefits, and deductions.
- Calculate wages, overtime, and deductions based on provided data.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and concerns from employees.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee information in the system.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports to relevant departments.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Assist in reconciling any discrepancies in payroll records.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
- Proficiency in one or more payroll platforms is required.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent mathematical and numerical aptitude.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies and issues.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools (MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- At least 3 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
- Certification in payroll administration (e.g., CPP) is a plus.
