Job Description

The Project Manager Must Consistently Achieve The Following

  • Ensure the project is executed per the client and Stageco's expectations.
  • Maintain good client relations throughout the project.
  • Complete the project following the client's schedule requirements.
  • Work and communicate cross-functionally to support company and project objectives.
  • Achieve project budget goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The project Manager shall be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring all aspects of the project. The Project Manager is the primary contact person for the client, all vendors, subcontractors, and internally for the Company. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop a preliminary project plan, scope, and quote.
  • Evaluate site conditions and constructability of the design
  • Perform bid review to assess risks, necessary contingencies, and budget for proper margin.

Project Planning

  • Establish initial communication, planning, and meeting with the client regarding the project, contacts, and general project scope.
  • Responsible for developing, communicating, documenting, monitoring, and revising the project as necessary to achieve the project goals.
  • Prepare and update project schedules.
  • Prepare preliminary documents, such as schedule, project plan, inventory, and contact information.

Design

  • Review the preliminary design with the R&D
  • Confirm the scope of work and final design, engineering support, and drawing requirements.
  • Responsible for the coordination with the client through the design process
  • Ensure all company design information is communicated to the vendors and subcontractors.
  • Monitor progress and adjust priorities as necessary.

Purchasing & Subcontracting

  • Identify existing and any new vendors that will be utilized in the project.
  • List necessary materials or equipment for the project and order materials as needed.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and communicate as necessary
  • Identify existing and new subcontractors that will be utilized on the project
  • Monitor progress and ensure quality meets Client requirements.
  • Coordinate all design activities with the subcontractor and work with the R&D through the submittal and design phase to ensure constructability, compatibility, and completeness of work.

Construction

  • Ensure crew chiefs and build teams have complete information regarding work scope, client, and design requirements.
  • Ensure a good construction plan is developed and communicated to the crew chief.
  • Coordinate the preparation of built drawings for the project as the client requires.
  • Monitor the progress of the build and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all project requirements and client expectations.

On-going Responsibilities Throughout The Project

  • Maintain positive and effective communication during the project.
  • Lead meetings as needed to ensure the achievement of the project goals.
  • Lead internal discussions regularly on all assigned projects.
  • Identify and resolve change requests, including document preparation, execution, and entry of change orders.
  • Coordinate with applicable internal team members.
  • Monitor safety performance, quality, work progress, and scheduling to Ensure client satisfaction.
  • Monitor job costs to ensure forecasting is accurate.

Project Close-Out

  • Reconcile cost forecasting about committed costs.
  • Lead a final review of the project and prepare a "lesson learned" report identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with the R&D to ensure all project-related files are correctly archived.
  • After project close-out, coordinate the resolution of any outstanding issues.

General Office Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in company-provided safety and skills training
  • Contribute to a positive and productive working environment
  • Provide backup to colleagues in other areas of the Company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Abilities / Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of construction-related documents such as plans/specifications, proposals, subcontracts, rental agreements, etc.
  • Good understanding of project management practices: budgeting, planning, determination of needed resources and skills, and allocating them most efficiently throughout multiple projects at the same time
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of AutoCAD programs

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Five years of construction experience

Three years of project management experience

Salary: $70000 - $90000 per year
