Mission:

The mission of this position is to ensure proper, timely flow of production. This includes seed processing, sanitation, and maintenance repair on equipment.

Outcomes

• Maintains system for key component parts inventory to reduce production downtime.
• Process purchasing of required items.
• Prioritize daily tasks for optimal production utilizing Preventative Maintenance Programs.  Seek out process improvements for efficiency, quality, and cost gains.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Regulations consistently.
• Communicate regularly with Suppliers and Vendors.
• Manage sanitation to ensure organic integrity, food safety, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• This position has been identified as holding responsibility for food safety and quality of the company. This responsibility extends over all shifts.
• During absence, the following position serves as coverage to this position: Seed Cleaner Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience in seed industry and/or mechanics desired.
• Previous experience maintaining forklifts and tractors desired.
• Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to handle the job will be considered.
• Prior knowledge of setup and calibration of equipment required to clean a variety of seeds including, but not limited to, ryegrass, fescue, clover, squash, amaranth, flax, wheat, barley and other varieties.
• Minimal computer knowledge for access to database and for data entry.
