Talent Acquisition Specialist/HR Job Description
Stahlka Agency is looking to add an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist/Human Resources professional to our team. This position is a new role in our company.
We are excitedly looking for a positive, inquisitive Talent Acquisition Specialist, who loves streamlining processes and problem-solving. Someone who will take on the role of finding talent and some HR duties off ownership’s plate while ensuring that talent search and HR operate efficiently and smoothly as directed. In addition, our new teammate will support ownership and management regarding talent acquisition, talent management, employee retention, employee coaching, and other minor HR tasks. A primary initiative will be to continue to champion our culture.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and have experience in talent acquisition and a wide range of human resources tasks to help ownership and management.
This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, must have excellent attention to detail, is able to work independently with little or no supervision, and enjoys the challenges of supporting a company of diverse people. Someone who enjoys going home knowing they put their best foot forward and made a difference by supporting a company and its people.
Duties and Responsibilities - include but are not limited to the following:
1. Provides support for the owners and managers of the company in talent acquisition and human resources.
2. Assist with managing HR for the Agency by developing and maintaining office and company policies, updating company annual handbooks, employee files, payroll, operations, discipline, recruiting, onboarding, orientation and training, and other procedures, as necessary.
3. Handle talent management by coaching high-potential employees, delivering employee training programs, building hiring and succession plans as well as mentoring employees.
4. Handle talent acquisition by collaborating with Marketing Department to build a strong employer brand to attract qualified candidates. As well as proactively build applicant pipelines to meet current and future business needs.
5. Assist the management team with strategic planning.
6. Handle internal inquiries, complaints, injuries, and workers' compensation.
7. Develops and streamline company policies and procedures, ensure they are implemented appropriately after approval, and make sure all files are complete and organized as expected by owners.
8. Perform review and analysis of duties, tasks, and projects and keeps ownership and management properly informed.
9. Ensure top HR performance of company staff by providing them with adequate coaching and guidance.
10. Manage internal staff relations and maintain a positive working environment while following company core values.
11. Maintain and update all office and company insurance policies.
12. Process and approve office payroll.
13. Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the company in any department, as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred but not required
· Previous Human Resources experience in NY required.
· Ability to show a thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations through questions, discussions and completed tasks
· Very strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential
· Takes ownership of job responsibilities with personal pride and accountability
· Experience with multiple locations and/or departments preferred but not required
· Very prompt, hardworking, and loves what they do
· Ability to work independently with little supervision required
