What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Professional (MHP)/Masters Level Therapist - LTSR position at Stairways Behavioral Health?
These positions function as a clinical member of the multidisciplinary team and provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to clients enrolled in the Long Term Structured Residential (LTSR) program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: individual and group therapy, case management, medication monitoring, assistance with the activities of daily living (ADL), crisis intervention, psychosocial education, vocational support and supportive counseling. The incumbent is expected to provide recovery-oriented interventions according to each client's individual treatment plan and maintain professional relationships with other providers, both internal and external to the program. The incumbent will meet productivity and caseload management standards. The MHP, along with every member of the LTSR team, must adhere to the DPW regulations and the policies and procedures established by the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's level degree or higher in generally recognized clinical discipline and one (1) year of mental health clinical experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal, organizational skills & the ability to effectively work with a team of other mental health professionals.
- Strong clinical skills with working knowledge of the mental health system, psychiatric rehabilitation principles and recovery-oriented practices.
- Ability to effectively work with persons with mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance abuse disorders and forensic issues and encourage their participation with comprehensive treatment plans.
- Act 31/33/34 clearances and FBI Criminal Background check.
- Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours.
