About The Team:

This position will report to the Director of Product Management. This team's efforts encompass all user and internal-facing software within the Stamps.com and Endicia brands. The team coordinates software development between several parallel software platforms to provide an ecosystem of options for our users. This role will own a specific software component and will manage projects within that software platform as well as those outside the scope of a single system. Due to the nature of this role, you will need to collaborate closely with engineers and other product managers within the Stamps/Endicia team, as well as throughout Auctane.

About The Role:

The Product Manager is the resident expert for a specific software domain; tasked with understanding the target user, the user behavior within the product, and the outcomes projects are aiming to achieve. This role encompasses the definition of success metrics and desired outcomes, championing, leading, and tracking projects that lead to these outcomes, while translating the plans and progress into understandable terms for stakeholders at all levels. Ultimately, it is the job of the Product Manager to provide an excellent high-value experience for the user while aligning with company and brand business goals. You will be supported by product peers, functional teams (design, marketing, engineering, etc) as well as senior leadership, who leverage software to drive business growth.

*This is a hybrid role located in Austin, TX.*

Primary Objectives:

  • Execute on vision, strategy, and roadmap and communicate clear value propositions.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders for product requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships.
  • Prioritize the backlog of features and bugs to align with overall business and focus area strategy.
  • Ability to create use cases in order to define new features and measure outcomes.
  • Define project success metrics and report on progress with measurable data points.
  • Monitor ongoing performance of features.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Execute vision and strategy into clear value propositions to create product requirements and specifications that can be communicated to operations, engineering, QA, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Manage gathering business and technical requirements from external and internal stakeholders including product managers, marketing, business development, QA, pricing, finance, customers and software related technical resources.
  • Advocate for the customer and improve the user experience in the definition of innovative solutions.
  • Work with operation teams, development teams, project managers, and QA engineers throughout the product development, testing, and implementation phases to ensure feature integrity.
  • Drive new feature development working side-by-side with product managers, engineers, and QA.
  • Manage the product development life cycle to support product releases on a regular basis.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all development and business stakeholders in order to ensure effective and timely delivery of features.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create a roadmap and schedule of features.
  • Own, manage and prioritize the backlog of features and bugs based on ROI and dependencies with other product managers, development teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the overall Product Vision and Roadmap.
  • Advocate for features that will help drive the business strategy and vision.
  • Define tracking metrics for existing product features and new projects, and establish targets for new projects.
  • Monitor ongoing performance of features and act as point of contact for any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent years of experience.
  • Three or more (3 ) years of relevant product management experience.
  • Experience working within agile teams (epics, capabilities, user stories)
  • Experience partnering with engineering and design to define, build, and maintain products which are critical to growth, engagement, and retention.
  • Professional experience with eCommerce and shipping carriers
  • Experience of working in strategy consulting or similar in-house role
  • Demonstrable strong analytical background
  • Software development, design, or experimentation experience
  • B2B product experience is preferred

An Auctane PM has:

  • Ability to narrate a story for what problem you're solving for and the vision you're going after, combined with the capacity to dive into minute details.
  • Focus and passion for building great UI and UX
  • Familiarity with the concepts of design thinking and a desire to test and prototype new features.
  • Strong focus on customers - you find a great deal of satisfaction in knowing users, who they are and what they do, but most importantly, why they do the things they do.
  • A natural bent towards seeking and analyzing data, and using data when making decisions.
  • Proven ability and track record with developing and maintaining collaborative relationships.
  • Exceptional decision-making skills - (Given limited resources, how do you prioritize across needs?).
  • Strong understanding of the leading solutions and providers of eCommerce.
  • Proven track record of launching new features and functionality.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand our market and products.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including developing presentation content and public speaking.

Travel Requirements

Approx. 5% - This role may require periodic domestic travel to subsidiary companies and partner meetings. Team Member Success Factors:
