We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer for our media client's engineering team. As a Software Engineer you will share the responsibility for the overall code architecture, maintainability, scalability and performance of all front end applications that support the site.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Web Development experience, with general familiarity of modern JavaScript frameworks
- 3 years of experience in React
- Minimum of 3 years of experience building UI/UX from the ground up based on designs provided
- Proven experience using and writing content driven REST APIs and GraphQL services
- Understanding of enterprise level software engineering processes for the full software development cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Understanding of front end JS technologies and frameworks including Reactjs, Nextjs, GraphQL, and node/express.
- Possess strong initiative and the ability for creative thinking with product development staff plus the ability to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment.
Your day to day
- Develop web applications, tools and processes used across our media company's Sports brand.
- Be an advocate for engineering best practices, code quality and performance within the development team and help management to maintain those fundamentals within the project/team.
- Ensure developers are adhering to best practices and using appropriate design patterns for their projects.
- Participate in scrum ceremonies - daily stand-ups, grooming, sprint planning
- Provide engineering support and guidance when needed to PMs, POs and the engineering management to help in planning and building a successful and achievable project roadmap.
- Review your teammate's design, code, provide constructive feedback and engage in good technical discussions and weekly deep dive sessions
The US base range for this contract position is $50-$58/hour. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
