A Brief Overview
The Radiology Quality Manager at Stanford Health Care holds a pivotal role in shaping the future of Imaging Services across all Stanford Health Care locations. This role reports to the Administrative Director of Imaging Services and collaborates with the Medical Director of Quality to develop, coordinate, and implement the Quality Improvement Program for Imaging Services. The manager leads departmental quality improvement planning and serves as a key member of the Radiology management team. They manage a Quality team that ensures patient safety and image quality standards are met, fosters a culture of improvement, provides data and analytics for operations, and remains current on technologies and performance improvement strategies. Your leadership and expertise will drive continuous improvement in patient safety, image quality, and operational efficiency, contributing to a culture of excellence and innovation in the Imaging Services department.

What you will do
- Develop, coordinate, and implement the department's Quality Improvement Program and initiatives for all locations, ensuring best practices.
- Develop plans and methods for gathering data and information to identify risks and opportunities for improvement in Radiological Services and patient safety.
- Maintain and improve the integrated operational and quality dashboards to measure departmental performance, establishing performance targets and process owners.
- Work closely with Department Management and Operations to improve quality, achieve goals, and enhance patient satisfaction and employee engagement.
- Managing Policies and Procedures to ensure timely renewal, compliance, and to provide expertise in creating new policies or updating existing ones.
- Develop and implement a program to identify patient and provider value streams and optimize clinical operations.
- Maintain current knowledge of EPIC and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
- Design and execute department-wide educational programs focused on quality improvement and operational excellence using a coordinated approach to develop, interpret, and train staff on departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Improve the safety culture within the Department of Radiology, as measured by the Safety Survey.
- Develop and recommend training programs and opportunities for staff development and performance improvement.
- Ensure departmental compliance with State, Federal, and local regulatory agency requirements, and accreditation organizations, prepare staff and sites for surveys, and facilitate survey response.
- Serve as a Radiology expert and departmental liaison with quality resources and compliance and other departments
- Involved in monitoring and gatekeeping safety events in collaboration with SHC safety teams and departmental managers
- Perform gemba walks and round on sites as needed to observe, evaluate, and improve processes and work environments, fostering open communication and continuous improvement within the department.
- Facilitate communication between the School of Medicine and Stanford Health Care.
- Provides direct feedback to managers and other staff regarding Quality Metrics
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Experience Qualifications
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Expertise in quality improvement fundamentals and background, with a proven track record of implementing successful quality improvement initiatives Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present Quality ideas in both large group settings as well as 1:1
- Ability to develop and implement improvement plans and new processes
- Financial budget development and expense management
- Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
- Ability to mediate and resolve complex problems and issues
- Leadership and influence skills
- Knowledge of budgets, financial management procedures, and computer software applications, including PACS and EPIC
- Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, administration, fiscal, and personnel management
- Expertise on Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $66.46 - $88.05 per hourThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
