About the Opportunity
Stanislaus Mechanical is looking for a full-time Senior Drafter / Draftsperson based in Ceres, California.
This critical role involves development of conceptual projects, production of shop drawings and is accountable for both drafting precision and production management.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing daily operations in design and production
- Working with a team comprising drafters and fabricators
- Utilizing drafting software (e.g., SolidWorks, etc.) for detailed drafting and design tasks
- Ensuring projects meet high-speed demands while maintaining quality
- Adapting processes to suit varied project requirements from major clients
- Overseeing the development and fabrication of prototypes and complex machinery
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure project specifications are met
- Driving the recruitment and training of new staff
- Implementing strategies to improve efficiency and productivity in the shop
- Contributing to company culture and participating in corporate events
About You
To qualify, you will need a solid understanding of drafting techniques and software (e.g., SolidWorks, etc.) and some hands-on experience in fabrication. A minimum of 3-5 years in a fast-paced fabrication or production environment will also be essential. Experience in managing a team is required.
