Position Summary

Assure quality products are produced on schedule according to specifications in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards, (ISO, TS, AS, etc).
  • Shut down and Secure facility at the end of day as needed.
  • In Working with EH&S, maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources

Basic Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in a technical discipline or 5 years additional experience in Manufacturing environment in lieu of degree requirement.
  • 2 years management experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills
  • Demonstrated effective communications skills with the ability to communicate and work with a diversified staff required
  • Ability to take the initiative to research, make decisions, follow through on and accomplish multiple tasks with a sense of vision, detail, commitment, priority, and urgency required
  • Ability and willingness to work beyond a normal work schedule when deadlines need to be met required
  • Regular attendance is required to perform this job
  • Ability to learn and understand personal software/computers including Windows, MS Office required, experience with these preferred
  • Prior experience utilizing an ERP platform like, SAP, Great Plains (Microsoft GP), NetSuite, DELMIA, Fishbowl, etc.
  • Experience in utilizing a Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) system, such as; Agile, SAP, Teamcenter, Propel (SFDC), etc.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement Methodologies, such as; LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Shainin Red-X, etc
  • Ability to engage and inspire people to develop a culture of professionalism, commitment to improvement, and teamwork.
  • Ability to work on an independent basis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of ownership with ability to take control of difficult situations Strong ethical and leadership standards
