Engineer-In-Training - Transportation Design

If this describes you, we are looking for a talented and ambitious Engineer-In-Training in Phoenix, AZ where you will gain meaningful experience in roadway design for arterials, as well as freeways and traffic interchanges for local, state, national, and international clients.

When You Work at Stanley Consultants You Will:

• Collaborate with and learn from experienced Professional Engineers and be mentored by industry leaders in transportation.
• Support experienced engineers on transportation projects, including plan development for a comprehensive range of transportation design projects, including horizontal and vertical geometry, cross sections, earthwork modeling, 3D roadway modeling, quantities calculations, construction specifications, and utility coordination.

Essential duties include:

• Conducting project site visits and field investigations.
• Performing design computations.
• Preparing and checking quantity calculations.
• Assisting in roadway plan development using computer aided drafting and design programs.
• Adhering to company standards for quality control.
• Researching and understanding City, County, State, Federal, and International Engineering Design Standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
• Engineer Intern (EIT) registration required or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
• 0-4 years of civil engineering experience, prior relatable internship/co-op experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or Autodesk Civil3d cadd platforms
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate
• Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs
• Ability to work remotely based on business operations and the needs of the firm
• The capability to learn virtual collaboration tools such as ProjectWise

Base Compensation: $61,100 - $78,600
