Stantec offers a hybrid home/office work environment, and expects team members in any of our Puget Sound offices at least 2 days a week or more for all-staff meetings, project-related team work sessions, client meetings, and employee engagement functions etc.
Your Opportunity
Stantec's dynamic Engineering team is looking for an entry level BIM Technician. With direction from multiple Project Designers and BIM Leads, you will assist in the preparation of plans, drawings, details, and specifications in accordance with client standards and specifications.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Set up new Revit models and CAD drawings and maintain file structure for projects.
- Work with Project Managers and technical design staff to prepare drawing documentation.
- Skillfully work in both Revit and AutoCAD MEP; including maintaining multiple models, creating/maintaining views and view templates, using advanced telecommunications-related features of the applications, and accurate element placement.
- Create electronic data files in compliance with Stantec and client requirements.
- Convert redlines to document-ready work.
- Publish, post, and manage drawing sets.
- Maintain model and drawing revisions from Project Manager or Designer instruction.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- General interest in 3D modeling and computer graphics.
- Client-centric, can-do approach to project work and assignments.
- High level of initiative, with ability to synthesize new technologies, industry trends, and client needs to make recommendations and initiative changes that add efficiency and value.
- Ability to multi-task and synthesize multiple data points and instructions to timely produce accurate deliverables.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education and Experience
- Highschool Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- It is not required or expected, but familiarity with mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and technology design within the built environment is a plus.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):
Salary Range(s):
- $51,200 - $69,100 (CA, CO, WA locations only)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
- Washington state employees are eligible to accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked except for Seattle employees who accrue sick leave in accordance with the city’s paid sick leave law.
