Your Opportunity
Stantec GS, Inc. seeks a Civil Engineer/Designer to perform various types of civil and land development designs, support projects & play an integral part in our growing Built Infrastructure practice group. This position can be remote or based out of one of our U.S. offices.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support project team in development of civil design documentation, plans, specifications, and reports for project design elements.
- Prepare documentation required for permitting through local jurisdictions.
- Perform quality reviews for documents in various project phases including construction plans, reviewing agency submittal packages, and engineering calculation reports.
- Assist in preparing engineering calculation reports including but not limited to: stormwater, erosion control, potable water, and sanitary sewer design.
- Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
- Coordinate and keep consistent communication within a multi-discipline, multi- office team.
- Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other construction administration tasks related to the civil design component of the project.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of civil systems and materials.
- Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
- Perform calculations to analyze and design civil system components using company standard equipment.
Assist in the preparation of studies and reports.
Assist in the design and production of engineered plans.
Assist senior engineers in the engineering design of:
* Grading and Drainage plans
* Stormwater Management and Conveyance Facilities
* Sanitary Sewer Conveyance
* Potable Water Systems
* Erosion and Sedimentation Control calculations and best management practices
* Hydrology and hydraulics calculations and studies
Evaluate and integrate engineering systems and implement code, accessibility, and zoning analyses
Qualifications

- Position requires the ability to travel both domestically & internationally
- Ability to operate standard Civil Engineering software/design tools for routine system modeling, design calculation, analysis and interpretation.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS software ArcGIS, and Stormwater Management Modelling software. Ability to work in Autodesk Revit a plus.
- Position requires a drug screen
- Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record
Education and Experience
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a closely related engineering field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in civil design, specifically land planning, site plans, and stormwater management.
- EIT registration preferred.
- Ability to obtain IAW NISPOM security clearance

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):
Salary Range(s):
- $79,400 - $115,200 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI
- $79,400 - $123,500 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
