Your Opportunity
We are seeking a CAD Technician to join our Survey team. Our team provides a full range of survey services including boundary surveying, home building permitting and construction services, calculations for construction stake out surveys, subdivision plat preparation, condominium exhibit preparation, preparation of legal descriptions for easements and parcel boundaries, topographic mapping, construction layout, control surveys, route surveys, as-built surveys, lake cross section as-built surveys, volume calculations and more. Your Key Responsibilities
- Uses basic knowledge of relevant areas of surveying.
- Assists the survey team in preparing CAD drawings, reviewing, and processing the results of field surveys, and verifying the accuracy of field survey data.
- Communicates effectively with members of the team and follows standard procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Basic understanding of survey methods and calculations.
- Developing knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D software and Standards.
- Demonstrates strong math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.
- Capable of reading / interpreting various types of construction and site plans
Education and Experience
- Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of CAD technician experience.
- Typical office environment working with computers at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
