As a Sr Desktop Engineer (Technical Analyst III) for Staples, you will join a team of consultants, engineers, and analysts tasked with designing, implementing, and providing ongoing management of technology-based solutions in support of the US Retail business unit. You will have a demonstrated background in automating IT solutions for the purpose of zero touch implementations, solid scripting skills, experience with client management tools, application packaging, evaluating technology, understand management of systems in distributed environments, familiarity with data security standards in a regulated industry, be a jack of all trades, have an analytical mind to be able to solve complex issues and enjoys evaluating new technologies.

Main areas of focus:
- Leads in the design and implementation of solutions to support operational and customer facing systems, i.e., retail point-of-sale, desktops, server, kiosks, and mobile devices
- Script automate build processes and application installations for the purposes of zero touch implementations.
- Packages applications for distribution via client management tools
- Ability to research windows platform-based solutions that result in the hardening of systems for a more secure environment.
- Provides 3rd level technical support for store retail technology including hardware and software

Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or 5-7 years of equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience managing and supporting Windows desktops - registry, profiles, services and components, file system and application compatibility in an enterprise environment
- Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies (PI Planning, Scrum, Kanban) and tools (JIRA) used to identify, prioritize, execute, and measure work
- Working knowledge with scripting languages – PowerShell, VBScript, Batch
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working with endpoint client management tools including Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Experience working with application packaging tools; Flexera AdminStudio, Wise Package Studio
Preferred skills and experience:
- Experience with Mobile Device Management platforms like VMWare Workspace One (AirWatch)
- Working knowledge of PCI and PII requirements or experience working in a highly regulated industry such as Retail, Medical, Finance etc.
- Experience with SDLC and/or Agile SAFe project methodologies
- Experience with C#, .NET, Visual Basic or any other object-oriented programming language
