Do you have a passion for chess and a desire to share that passion with young minds? STAR Nova is looking for inspired teachers to teach chess to elementary-age students in and around the Los Angeles area.

General Requirements:
Experience teaching K-5th grade students
Will commit to the whole session (6-8 week program)
Will have Reliable Transportation
Will have effective classroom management skills
Will be punctual, reliable, enthusiastic, responsible, and flexible
Dedicated to children with diverse backgrounds and academic levels
Job Responsibilities:
Independently lead a group of 14 students from K-5th grade.
Instructors are expected to arrive on time and provide an educational, FUN,safe, and enjoyable class experience for students.
Qualifications:
Teachers require at least 1 year of experience teaching children (not necessarily chess)
Teachers work between 2 - 10 hours per week in the afternoons, M-F (within times 2 to 6pm)
