General Purpose:
Directs and coordinates the day-to-day operations activities of the branch facility to
obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities, and personnel by performing the following
duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Core Functions:
− Understand and comply with Star’s Core Values and company policies in

− Communicate, model and monitor compliance with Star’s Core Values and
policies and incorporate them into performance plans, coaching and corrective
action
− Every Star employee is expected to take care of their health and work safely at
all times for themselves, their families and the safety of their coworkers
− Responsible for fielding and responding to customer requests for trailer rental
and leasing opportunities
− Responsible for initiating the maintenance and repair of all trailers assigned to
branch by customer requests or at termination. Includes maintaining the
standards set by Star Leasing Co. as it pertains to routine maintenance and
repairs, tires, washing and general trailer refurbishments
− Coordinates the daily activity of Star Leasing Co.'s equipment and personnel
which include tractors used for delivery and pick-up of trailers and service
vehicles that are used for routine maintenance and emergency repairs
− Responsible for maintaining various operating efficiencies and benchmarks as
determined by VP Operations
− Responsible for the preparation of all Equipment Interchange Agreements and
other inspection documents for all equipment either rented, leased or sold
from branch facility
− Responsible for insuring that all equipment being terminated from rent or
lease is properly inspected and documented
− Responsible for insuring that Star Leasing Co.'s policies and procedures for
Estimates, customer notifications and invoicing are followed properly
− Responsible for maintaining accuracy of and preparing daily inventory
document as it relates to all equipment physically located at branch facility
− Responsible for appearance and maintenance of designated work areas within
facility
− Approves all purchases related to branch operations as determined by the
Branch Manager
− Responsible for the daily processing and review of all necessary documents to
operate branch facility and all related filing associated with such
Supervisory Responsibilities:
− Directly supervises the employees in the Operations Department
− Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's
policies and applicable laws
− Interviewing, hiring, and training employees
− Planning, assigning, and directing work
− Appraising performance
− Rewarding and taking corrective action with employees
− Addressing complaints and resolving problems
Qualifications:
− Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two
years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience
− Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals,
professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
− Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
− Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from
groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
− Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,
commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
− Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
− Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
− Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram,
or schedule form
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and remain insurable through Star’s insurer
